Less is More week 324 - Spring Walk

Hi LIMettes! Happy Saturday. It's a new clean and simple card making challenge over at Less is More, and this week we want you make cards with a theme of a "Spring Walk".
A big thank you to Wendy Johnson of Pink and Dotty who has made a gorgeous card as our guest designer. Do check it out!

Here's my first card.

I used linen effect card stock, a Sizzix Circle Thinlit, an unknown tree trunk/branches stamp, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens for the grass and leaves, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the sky, just the birds from the Personal Impressions Fairy Scene stamp set, and Altenew Beautiful Quotes stamp set.

And my second card.

I used Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters for the background. The tree and sentiments are from Winnie & Walter Kindness with Evelin T Designs. The die cut heart is from My Favorite Things Blueprints 29. The tree and heart are coloured with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.

Remember to check out the other DT cards on the Less is More blog, and to get your own entries in by Friday 21st April at 10 pm BST!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Two lovely and fresh Spring cards Esther. I love the way you have coloured the tree and grass on your first card. The sentiment is one of those that you read twice as it's so true.

  4. You've captured so well that brilliant green of emerging leaves before traffic and pollution and age make them look dirty!

  5. Two stunning creations here Esther and your colouring on both is FABULOuS! Superb tones and the first one certainly gives a real image of a spring walk, especially using that circular frame around your image. A wonderful sentiment on both and brilliant ideas as always. Happy Easter! x

  6. Both of your cards are so fresh and joyful, Esther - they both made me smile with the green foliage on the trees. The first card is elegant and crisp and the second is slightly more whimsical and the pops of red from the cards have a more playful feel. I have stash envy as always :) I hope you are having a great easter weekend x

  7. Two gorgeous cards Esther ! Love your colouring on both of them ! I admit that my favorite is the first one, it is so delicate in all the details : the linen paper, the circular frame, the pale blue sky, this soft inked tree and the lovely grass !Without talking about the sentiment ! WOW I love it ! Thanks for sharing and for inspiring.

  8. Clean, crisp and dazzlingly fresh cards Esther! Your first scene is charming and so evocative of spring walks in the countryside. Love the way you did the grass and leaves on that card. Your second card has a super contemporary feel and the oh-so-subtle ombre inking in the background is flawless! Sorry I'm so incredibly late popping over this week but life completely got in the way. xx

  9. Apertures and linen card stock....why do I always forget how fabulous this looks and never do it! Awesome little scene through your circular frame, feels exactly like spring, and I love the gentle blue blending on both of these, so subtle. Sorry for the late visit, hun xx

    1. It's funny, I used to do linen card stock for almost every card and now only use it once in a blue moon! So I do forget too :) xx
