Less is More week 309 - Dimension
Hi LIMettes, happy new year and welcome to the last Less is More clean and simple card making challenge of 2016! This time we're asking you to make cards that use dimension in some way. How will you interpret this? I can't wait to see your creations!
For this card I used the camouflage die cutting technique. The background is stamped using Paper Smooches Bold Blooms with VersaColor ink on a panel cut with the largest of the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle dies. The sentiment is cut using a My Favorite Things Friends die, with the top layer taken from the stamped panel and an underneath layer added from fun foam to give dimension. Finally, I added two leaves at the bottom cut from colour-coordinating card stock using Lawn Fawn Flower Power dies.
This card is super simple and uses a pretty pearlescent card stock to add shimmer. The flower is die cut using Lawn Fawn Flower Power and the petals on each of the three layers have been slightly curled to add dimension. The sentiment is from SugarPea Designs and it was a very kind birthday gift from my fellow LIM teamie Sarah G (thanks again Sarah!) and is cut from the same card stock and adhered on top using wet glue.
That's it for this week, but there's more DT inspiration on the Less is More blog where you can also see the challenge entries, and do remember to check the other DT blogs (links are in the challenge post) where there may be some bonus inspiration cards!
Thanks for stopping by!
