Less is More - Guest Designer - Recipe: Dry Embossing

Hi LIMettes! I'm thrilled to be back again on the Less is More blog during their birthday month as a Guest Designer for February. This time around, it's a recipe challenge and we're using dry embossing.

Here's my first card using sunny yellows to remind me that spring is... well, springing. Hang in there! February today, July tomorrow. So to speak.

This one was a super quick and simple make. I used a beach huts embossing folder from Crafter's Companion, now discontinued, at the bottom of the card, then swooshed Mustard Seed Distress Ink over that area. Finally I added a sentiment from My Favorite Things Polynesian Paradise.

For my second card I used an embossing folder of branches and leaves. Although this is a busier design, it's kept CAS by being quite a repetitive design, making it restful to the eye, and by keeping it white on white which again reduces any feeling of "busyness". The sentiment is from Altenew Beautiful Quotes stamp set.

I'm looking forward to seeing your creations in the LIM gallery! Thanks for stopping by.

Less is More - Guest Designer - Theme: Music

Hi LIMettes! I'm so happy to be back as a Guest Designer in February at the Less is More blog. February is the birthday month of this wonderful challenge so I want to say:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIM!!

So without further ado, the challenge for the next fortnight is a theme of music. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

*Apologies for the poor photo quality, folks. I lost my favourite photo editor and am really struggling with the replacement.*

My card uses a cute mouse from My Favorite Things Strike Up The Band, coloured with Chameleon pencils, and a strip of coordinated designer paper layered under the right-hand edge.

Thanks for stopping by!
